Women's Ministries
Women of all ages and walks of life meet Tuesday mornings, at 9:30 a.m. in Chapel Room 105, for a time of Bible study, prayer, laughter, tears and sharing their lives with one another. For more information about this class, please contact Gayle Albertson at 219-0801.
Our ladies study begins again September 10th, 2019. All women are invited to join the class. At this time there is no childcare available during class.
"Journey"
When death or illness hits a family, the heart of First Baptist goes out to them. We have five teams of men and women who see to the needs of the family and are willing to invest their time in helping that family through a difficult time. These teams wish to show the love of Christ to the hurting and hopeless, the sad and scared. Meals are arranged, funeral dinners are planned, and loving on the family becomes the focus. If you are interested in participating as a team member, please contact Debbie Povlsen at 431-1374 for placement on a team.
The Utah-Idaho Southern Baptist Convention invites women of all ages to participate in their fall Women's Retreat. Being held at Mountain View Baptist Church in Layton, Utah, September 20-21. The cost is only $25 and registration can be completed at UISBC.org. Accommodations are up to the registrant. The UISBC site also has a list of hotels nearby. Check with Gayle Albertson (208)878-7613 for more information. Several ladies from First Baptist Burley are going and room-sharing may be a possibility.
Women's retreats are the highlight of our women's year, and often close enough to allow even the busiest to attend. Mother's Day Teas have been held as well as day hikes/walks in local areas. Don't be hesitant to jump in and join these activities!
